Who is Ortgeist?
Ortgeist is a nyc themed blog and photo site that tries to focus on news and events in and around where the editors live, work, and play. Generally speaking that means most of the content here will be about Boerum Hill, Park Slope, South Brooklyn, Coney Island, and Hell's Kitchen. We figure we may as well play nice with Manhattan and throw the Burrough a bone every now and then.
Marty Bogert
Marty Bogert is a graphic designer at one of New York's new media companies (east side represent). She has her master's degree from NYU's interactive telecommunications program and her BFA from the School of Visual Arts. She is currently eating beef jerky.
Daniel Harvey
Daniel Harvey is an interaction designer/information architect at a different new media company in New York (west side for life). He still can't decide what he'd want his masters in but he thinks his BFA in Sculpture and Art Ed. from SVA is pretty nifty. He is currently writing yet another check to settle a citation from overzealous transit cops.
